Workforce Board

In River Valley, a dynamic group of business leaders, together with area education, government and community leaders, play an active role in enhancing workforce quality, growth and productivity through the activities of the River Valley Workforce Investment Board.  Workforce Boards are leaders and advocates for an integrated workforce development system.  The Board creates partnerships among education providers, training centers, government, labor, industry associations, businesses and other stakeholders – partnerships that support the development of a strong, well-qualified workforce.

Five standing committees steer the accomplishment of our vision and mission and support industry-based workforce development strategies, workforce transportation initiatives, labor market analysis, community planning, and advisory groups.  The River Valley Workforce Investment Board has many venues which an individual or an organization can make a difference.
